I worked with Chase for several years as a liason to United and the MileagePlus loyalty relationship, helping to introduce Chase’s advertising network to the United Airlines app and leading the design and build of a variety of revenue-driving programs for MileagePlus.
Chase is United’s premier marketing partner, so revenue-driving marketing efforts faced substantial executive level scrutiny, sometimes requiring input and final approvals all the way up to Jamie Dimon. For United, I took care to recommend an advertising approach that would still prioritize United’s key app functions and place supreme importance on the user and their digital journey needs.
Results App-based advertising placements alone drove hundreds of millions of dollars in long-term value of new cardholders for Chase, and MileagePlus program initiatives drove additional substantial value.
