Artiiste was a personal passion project. It was an attempt to make the fine art world more universally accessible, and to create a better forum for artists, buyers, and institutions to more easily connect. As a fine artist myself, I know how challenging it can be to break into the art world and gain representation.
I architected and designed the network, which included a gallery wall, artist pages, accounts, and a variety of social media-style functionalities. Then I worked with Eight Bit Studios Chicago to build and launch the network in 2012. The site attracted visitors worldwide and hundreds of artist accounts across 10+countries. While the project did not gain the kind of exponential traction I’d dreamed of, it was an excellent growth opportunity and gave me new entrepreneurial perspective and technology experience.
